This used to be the Episcopal Church Missionary Community.  They are a great resource and they host a conference every 3 years.  It’s a great organization and it helps many of us “stay the course.”

SOMA-Sharing Our Ministries Abroad:  www.somausa.org

This ministry helps to gather people from different experiences and go as “one” to teach and train church leaders in terms of reconciliation.

YWAM-Youth With A Mission:  www.ywam.org

This organization helped to train two of our daughters and is a great way to help young people to get the correct prospective on what’s important in life.

            This is where our daughter, Stacey, is on staff.

The Church Army is a great group that works with the down and outs of society and gives them hope and a reason to live. 

RHNO-Resurrection House of New Orleans: www.resurrectionhouseofneworleans.org

This is a ministry which help groups of people that want to come and help those who lost their homes during hurricane Katrina get back in their homes.  Without outside help, most of the people will never get back into their homes.

Five Talents International: www.fivetalents.org

This organization helps to teach people how to “fish” and offers small loans to help them get a business started.

KAIROS-Prison Ministry: www.kairosprisonministry.org

This is a three day week end at a prison to bring the love of Jesus to the inmates.  This is an ecumenical ministry and one needs to have made a Cursillo week-end or equivalent to be on the team.

CURSILLO-Renewal Ministry: www.episcopalcursillo.org

            This is a three day week end to experiece the love of Jesus.

Dr. David Black in La Ceiba, Honduras: www.hondurasmd.org

Dr. Black is a semi-retired US internist who decided in 2001 to live on the North Coast of Honduras to work with the very poor.

Known as “Nurse Peggy” on the island of Roatan, Peggy has been serving several clinics and hosts visiting doctors, nurses and dentists.

El Hogar Ministries: www.elhogar.org

El Hogar Ministries have 3 areas of ministry and a campus for each:  El Hogar, the orphanage; The Institute, where they train the boys in carpentry, electricity, or metal works; and the Finca, where they teach the boys about agricultural and the care of various animals.
